Insurance

The services at Awareness Counseling, LLC are not accredited with any health insurance company, thus, services would be considered “out-of-network”. This decision is due to the many complexities associated with medical billing. However, lack of health insurance involvement allows greater flexibility and privacy for the client population. Regardless, you may be eligible for reimbursement of Awareness Counseling, LLC services through your insurance company. You can determine whether your insurance company will reimburse you by contacting the member services department. Assistance in navigating this process is provided upon request. You will be provided with the documentation necessary to submit a claim for potential reimbursement or credit towards a deductible.

Lateness, Cancellations & No-Shows

Scheduling of an appointment involves the reservation of a time slot allocated specifically for you. For that reason, a minimum of 24-hour notice is required for re-scheduling or canceling your appointment. The normal psychotherapeutic session fee will be charged for sessions missed without such notification. Understandably, occasional exceptions occur only if it is agreed upon that a late cancellation notice was not possible. If you are running late for your appointment, please make contact as soon as possible by informing a clinician you will be late. If you arrive late for your psychotherapy appointment, please understand that your session will need to end at the predetermined time, as other clients may be waiting for their appointment. If you cancel or you are a no-show for 3 scheduled psychotherapy sessions within a 3-month period, a decision will likely be made to refer you to another professional that may be more suitable to your needs. Please be aware that if services are not required for a 3-month period, the client will be considered discharged.
